And one of the best things to do right now is to pick your Makeup Artist – totally safe and done virtually which also means you will see how your make up looks on camera and best of all, YOU will learn how to do it yourself!!

We spoke with Keri Berman, prominent celebrity and wedding makeup artist. Her work is seen in magazines, television, runways, at the Academy Awards, along with other red-carpet events.

Here are her most common questions asked and answered. Read on and be sure to check out her product line!

You should start looking for a makeup artist and hair stylist as soon as you know your wedding date. This will allow enough time for you to have a consultation and book your artists for the day of the event. Most makeup artists are booked several months in advance. Also, it is important to feel comfortable with your makeup and hair styles, as well as the personalities of your makeup and hair artists.

I do not recommend facials immediately before the wedding day. If you are used to getting facials regularly, go at least two weeks prior to your wedding day. This will allow enough time for your skin to recover from redness and irritation. Remember that facials will bring out impurities, so you should give yourself time to heal.

Absolutely! You can still look natural wearing foundation. It is most definitely necessary for your photographs and video. There are many types of foundations. Your makeup artist can find the right foundation for you, depending on your skin type. The proper shade and texture will make you look and feel just right!

Focus on your eyes – the eyes are more important than ever! Also make sure to fill in those eyebrows. Try “He’s the One” shadow to create the perfect, natural brow.

You will need a translucent powder, lips and concealer. If you use a great eye primer, your eye makeup should stay and not move or crease. Try “Stuck on You” by Keri Berman Cosmetics, it will hold on your shadow for up to 8 to 12 hours!

Good question! Any color that works and compliments you are perfect!

Choosing eye and lip colors slightly darker or brighter than your natural tones give a glamorous look without being overly done. Lip gloss is elegant and sexy. Apply it lightly so it doesn’t run. Another glam tip is to wear individual lashes! Adding a couple of lashes on the outer corners of the eyes, gives a glamorous look and makes the eyes appear larger. You will look and feel extra special!

If make-up gets on your mask, or even if wearing daily – make sure to replace or wash your mask to prevent the illness or ‘maskne’!
